The English Fiddle Ensemble

21 September

doors 7-30 for a 8pm start

Live at Sam’s with Bright Phoebus are thrilled to be able to bring these wonderful musicians to play for you, thanks to St Andrews Church as part of Nether Edge Festival.

The English Fiddle Ensemble are made up of 4  of England’s finest traditional fiddle players, Bryony Griffith, Jim Boyle, Ross Grant and Rosie Butler-Hall. They make a truly wonderful sound and in the Church this will be even more special, purely acoustic in a building designed for this.

All with a passion for traditional English dance and its music, their combined repertoire is vast and includes rarely played and unusual regional tunes alongside more familiar session favourites. Their aim is to engage with the audience in a way that allows them to feel the bite and lift of four fiddles resonating to create joyous harmonies and striking rhythms.
